Photographing landscapes has become a part of my life. I never walk, drive, or fly somewhere without thinking of the photographic opportunites. I feel that landscapes should simply be depictions of beauty and actuality. I strive to keep my photos representative of how I envisioned the scene. I am not afraid to use digital post [...]

Using a Canon 5D and a pinhole body cap will be my newest addition to a variety of techniques I already have used with the camera. A pinhole camera body cap is exactly what it sounds like: a body cap with a tiny hole in the center. Using the cap instead of the lens will produce less than sharp [...]

Well I must confess that I could be out taking photos in the cold right now, but instead I am inside in the warmth and comfort. I blame my laziness partially due to some sort of infection in my head that is causing severe pressure and headaches. SO…I go back on some previously skipped images [...]

Taking photos of landscapes combined with unique cloud formations is something I feel I live for. When I stood out in this field, I was almost jumping with glee. I was in the right spot at the right time. I had the elements(lone tree, water, clouds, and field) to come away with some excellent images. [...]

Finding a calm palce to stand in the water, I set my tripod and began capturing the convergence of lines and colors.
As the sun sets the colors begin to transform, blend, and create a serene scene.

After working all day, I was ready to get in a few images before the end of daylight. Heading down to the lake, I saw numerous opportunities for image capture. Always one for a good reflection, I used varying angles to achieve the most aesthetically pleasing image. I hope you enjoy.
Oh yea, as I was [...]

I consider a snapshot something that is instantaneous and candid. A simple turn of the camera, snap of the shutter, and an exposed piece of film(sensor). Producing a snaphot while bracketing on a tripod may seem like something more complex to the outsider. Even with my camera set up for methodical image capture, I captured [...]

Tonight I began a new road in my photography. It involves software and implementing heavy post processing to my images. This may turn some off to the photos immediately, but to others that view with unbiased eyes; they will love the images and embrace them.
Photomatix is an HDR software that uses cutting edge technology and [...]

Having not posted in awhile, I figured it was time for some new stuff. Something maybe out of the ordinary. I have enclosed a collection of examples of my new favorite digital post processing technique: sepia.
The use of sepia has become more of a genre idea instead of the commonality it use to serve. Many [...]

Well, once I again I have gotten in the habit of not regularly updating my blog. I can not use the excuse that I was busy, because I wasn’t. I just was enjoying my Christmas break. I have been busy editing photos though. Tonight I am uploading some pics that were taken awhile ago. The [...]
